We’re not quite starting Bound for Glory yet because I’m waiting for some friends to get here. Bro’s before ho’s. I’m not sure how that saying applies here, but I felt the need to sneak it in. Truth be told, it can de both depressing and frustrating to watch TNA by myself and the guys are close so we’ll start soon.
Plus, I’m sure there will be plenty to fast-forward through on DVR. After all, it is TNA.
LAX def. XXX in ultimate x. This was insane. Hernandez was throwing the little guys around with ease and the crowd was going bananas. The most dangerous looking spot came when Homicide gave Skipper a neckbreaker when both were hanging upside down on the x cables. Hernandez climbed across the ropes and grabbed the X after border tossing Skipper to the floor on top of Senshi. This was a very fun spotfest and the crowd totally helped. ***3/4
Eric Young won the fight for your right battle royal. They hyped this for weeks as the winner getting a title shot, but it ended up being that once eight men climbed into the ring, they were entered into an eight-man tournament that would take place on Impact, with the seedings decided by order of elimination. Good luck reading that four or five times, but I swear it’s about as clear as I can write it, it’s just that SCREWED UP! They had the ridiculous on-the-floor battle royal and Lance Hoyt, Sabin & Shelley, Junior Fatu, James Storm, Eric Young, Kaz and Robert Roode were the final eight. Six were eliminated and then it turned into yet ANOTHER one-on-one match with Roode and Young, with Young pinning Roode with a small package. This sucked. Just a total mess of a match with convoluted rules. The tourney matches are Storm-Young, Fatu-Roode, Kaz-Hoyt and Sabin-Shelley, by the way. -** for being a total waste of PPV time.
